I use mostly either a 50mm macro lens or a 100mm macro, but I have to move the camera a lot in order to fill the frame, I just bought a new 24-105 for my wife's 5D and have not used it yet, but I think it may be a good option. It is the lens that co…

Johnny, What lens or lenses do you use?, I use a Canon 20D and Love it, My wife has a 5D, but I find the 20D best for knives up to about 10 in. in length, the 5D works well on longer pieces.

Ensign Knives designed by Buster Warenski

Buster Warenski designed Three different Drop Point Hunters for Ensign Knives in the Late 70 and early 80's. They all had leather sheaths and were marked Ensign in a large diamond in the center of the blade. Some had engraved bolsters and some did not. It is not clear to me whether Buster did the engraving on contract or whether someone else at Ensign did the engraving. If you own one of these knives and would like to sell it, please let me know at jimbucket2@aol.com . I would also like to see a… Continue

The knife on Ebay has been on a long time, and I have made several offers, but it does not have3 the original sheath , and is not engraved, so is not worth the asking price or anything close in my opinion.

I second everything Andrew said and add a couple of things. I own a fully serrated Cold Steel Vaquero Grande that looks very similar to the X2 Voyager you have pictured. It is huge, so I don't carry it much. As an EDC I personally don't have too mu…

i've never owned one, but i can say from having partially serrated knives, that it wouldn't be for me. i don't cut people out of seat belts, or cut a lot of rope in my day to day. i DO like serrations for stripping wires, however. except for the fac…

This group is to discuss the attributes of Bram Franks knife designs as they relate to his training methodology called Modular. Unique concepts such as kinetic opening, indexing points, and the puzzle lock, all contribute to the training.

"The Porch" may be one of the best parts of the whole outing and it sure sounds good to me. If''n the snakes and tarantulas don't get me a'fore then we'll see what we can do. (Some call it hell with the fires out. Others call it Arizona......)

Thanks for your input! I view this knife much like the Spyderco Civilian. If I use it with success (God forbid) it will break, likely at the tip. This knife has no "utility" value.

Unfortunately, police model starts out with a thin blade, which over the years have gained a reputation for snapping at the tips. The G10 model is a better handle than the plastic one, or the more popular, stainless steel. The blade on all are the s…
